I cant say enough about this mod. The removal of the top speed limiter and the increase of power certainly is a worthwhile investment. I have seen Hamann prices and they are 3 times as much and only delivers the same result. I recently had a Dyno done and it generated 255 HP off the rear wheels, pretty damn good for a Natural Aspirated engine, and of course the installation of Powerchip has contributed on this success. I don’t know what to say! The car now feels as if it is a V8! When stepping on the gas, I feel that the car wants to just keep on going and going, yet it shows me that it can give me more!! The response is a beauty. By just pressing on the gas a LITTLE more, you feel that the car wants to jump! I used to drive my car with the SPORT switched on to get crazy, but after i installed the Powerchip, i don’t need the SPORT button when driving (only when racing)! It feels like driving the car with the sport when it didn’t have the Powerchip, yet it feels MUCH smoother now! The only problem with PowerChip is that it MAKES ME WANNA DRIVE THE CAR ALL DAY!! ….ooh, and few days ago i took my car to the dealer for some checkups, they could not tell that the car had the PowerChip! So no need to worry about that and about your warranty! My car used to stop at 270km/h. i did try to top it up after i installed PowerChip, but the traffic was too much so i cant tell YET! i reached 240 km/h QUICKLY and SMOOTHLY! i think who ever have ANY DOUBTS about it MUST get the Powerchip! I was afraid to, but now i am soooo Happy =o)

Great mod. Without Powerchip I always complained about M3 being too itchy and non-linear. After Powerchip I like to drive it, although my wife is a primary driver. However, there is more. I can’t thank Powerchip guys for being patient with this install. Frequently, with hard acceleration M3 would go into a "limp mode" in the 3rd and 4th gear even prior to the Powerchip install. BMW tried to avoid finding a problem at first. After loading Powerchip, the problem persisted, actually was consistently present. Jessie from Powerchip sent a modified file to try to fix the problem, but it didn’t work, so the decision was to press BMW to fix it. After more than a month regional BMW guy came to NJ and joked car to be fixed. At the time of checking there was no Powerchip software on-board. BMW finally found that a fuel pump had insufficient pressure and airflow sensor was also faulty. After the fix, I put Powerchip back and M3 is perfect. During all this time serial kit was sitting in my house and waiting to be used to reload software as soon as M3 is fixed. Powerchip guys suggested to be patient and wait for BMW to fix it. They were right and certainly went overboard to accommodate me. |

Excellent modification for the E46 M3. There was a noticeable difference in response and performance when I got behind the wheel. The throttle is more responsive than before, similar to having the sport button on, but not as
twitchy. Acceleration is much smoother, and each gear pulls a little harder. The Powerchip software has also smoothed out the shifts between each gear, with SMG transmission. In addition to great software, the employees at Powerchip’s have been excellent to work with. Joel and Travis have in particular have been very helpful before, during and after the
install. |

After months of pursuing overseas avenues for after-market ECU mods for the M3, I have finally found a company that is prepared to provide a product and level of service second to none. In conjunction with a Milltek exhaust system and CDA air box, the Powerchip has provided the M3 with exceptional low-mid range performance and an outstanding improvement in throttle response.
The acceleration rate with the SMG is now finally right. The guys at Powerchip have really done their homework on the M3 as the improvement to this vehicle has been fantastic.
