1. Will they make my BMW look like new again?
These BMW Headlights are meant to refresh the look of your vehicle; they will replace your old dirty lights, with brand new clear units. We have also incorporated projectors in the low beam housings to provide better lighting performance over the stock BMW Headlight. You will be able to make your vehicle look like it did when it was new with simple upgrades like these BMW Projector Headlights.
2. What are the different types of Headlights available for my car?
For the E46 models we have a few headlight models available, we have a Halogen option and D2S Xenon Housing option. These Depo headlights all come with projector low beam housings and are painted black. The standard lights come with halogen angel eyes, but you can upgrade to the super bright LED angel eye rings which are pre-installed.
3. What should I pay attention to when purchasing BMW Accessories or a BMW Part like a headlight?
Take a look at their construction, what type of materials is the headlight made out of? Plastic, glass? Check to see if the mounting holes line up with the stock BMW Parts locations. Make sure the Angel Eye Headlights come with the appropriate wiring harness, in order to be able to have a “Plug n Play” installation.
4. Will these void my warranty? (Do they have a warranty?)
Anytime you change out a part like a light it will void the BMW manufacturer’s warranty for that specific part, NOT THE WHOLE VEHICLES WARRANTY. You can’t expect BMW to warranty a part that is not theirs, but the headlights we sell come with a 1 year manufacturer warranty. If you were to reinstall the original light back in the car then the warranty would still be intact. **Dealerships often try to intimidate customers by telling them that a small change on their vehicle can void the warranty, by law they cannot void the vehicles entire warranty because of just one item replaced. They have the right to void the warranty of the specific item that has been replaced or modified but not the entire warranty.**

5. How hard is it to install these BMW Headlights?
Most headlight installations are fairly straight forward, any competent person with basic tools, and mechanical ability should be able to remove the original lights and reinstall the new headlight in its place. If you purchased a headlight set with angel eyes and your vehicle did not come with Angel eyes from the factory, you will need to do some wiring in order to get the angel eyes to light up. This wiring again is relatively simple and can be done on your own. If you ever have doubts about an installation we would recommend you have it professionally done, we always recommend professional installation but a great deal of our customers have been able to successfully install all their parts on their own. 6. What bulb options are available?
Typically these headlight come with a specific type of bulb, usually they use H7, D2S, or H1 bulbs, depending on which headlight you choose. These E46 headlights can come with D2S or halogen low beam housings, you will either need a D2S bulb, or a Halogen one, and the high beam housings need a H7 bulb. Once you know your bulb type you can go to your local auto store and purchase any bulb in any coloration you would like. There are also a lot of customers who do complete BMW E46 Conversions, but that’s up to the customer and how far they want to go.
7. Will these lights give off any error codes or computer malfunctions?
Our lights are made to be 100% compatible with your vehicle, which means it will not throw any error codes or cause any malfunctions. For the models that are equipped with Xenon’s we have headlight housings equipped with the same type of Xenon housing as well as the auto leveling motors are built onto our lights. So all you would need to do is remove the BMW 46 Headlight sockets from the back of the original BMW E46 Headlights Assembly and connect them to the new light.
8. Do they come with directions?
Yes, we are striving to “Go Green” so we are no longer including instructions in each one of our boxes; we do however have the instructions stored digitally and would be more than happy to send it to you. 9. How much do they cost?
These headlights come in several styles and their prices vary based on the options you choose. You can buy the basic halogen units or the D2S housings that are equipped with auto leveling motors. LED angel eyes are also an option; you can upgrade the stock halogen angel eyes to the Ultra bright LED’s.
